The second part of our ongoing project on films about housing is a kaleidoscope of different visions of habitation.

One half's made up of cramped interiors, depopulated streets on the outskirts of capital cities, the daily grind of folks transforming whatever the world gives them their home. The other: cities seen from the air, abstracted into light, lines in space, geometric patterns.

There are so many ways to look at the spaces that we live in. Thanks to the rapidly-accelerating phenomenon of gentrification transforming urban spaces at a truly unbelievable pace, housing and its increasing unaffordability is something all classes of society are having to confront in their own ways.

Here we present the second part in our series Housing Project, where we present possibilities for its representation in cinemas of all stripes.

Don't forget that you can still discover many of the films from the previous entry in this series, Housing Project: The Place I Was Born No Longer Exists.
