Artist and filmmaker, Gaëlle Boucand's practice has focused for the past ten years on the making of films in search of new documentary forms of writing. Her films are often portraits of people whose stories are marked by migration. These stories, as different as they may seem, always echo particular historical, social and political situations. Her films have been shown in various international art institutions (Paris Museum of Modern Art, Centre Pompidou, MAST Bologna, MAMbo, Kunsthalle Mannheim, Bethanien Berlin, Athens and Thessaloniki Museums of contemporary art, etc.) shown in the most prestigious documentary festivals in France and awarded several times in FID Marseille, among others. She also co-founded the horizontal collaborative production company Elinka Films and teaches film & vidéo in isdaT in Toulouse.
DAFilms.com is powered by Doc Alliance, a creative partnership of 7 key European documentary film festivals. Our aim is to advance the documentary genre, support its diversity and promote quality creative documentary films.
