Jorge León studied cinema in Brussels (INSAS). Early on, he became interested in documentary cinema as a director and cinematographer. He has collaborated as a photographer and videographer in numerous artistic projects with, among others, Eric Pauwels, Wim Vandekeybus, Thierry De Mey, Xavier Lukomski, Olga de Soto, Meg Stuart. His photographic work has been widely exhibited and published in Belgium and abroad in various newspapers and specialized magazines. His productions as a director include De Sable et de Ciment (2003 - 57'), Vous êtes Ici (2006 - 80'), Between Two Chairs (2007 - 16'). His films 10 Min.9 (2009 - 16') and *You Are Served (2010 - 60') have been widely shown in international festivals and have won awards on various occasions. He is currently shooting a feature film: Before we go (2014 - 80') shot at the Opera de la Monnaie (Brussels).
