Vít Janeček was born in 1970 and works as a filmmaker, dramaturgist and mentor. He graduated from the School of Philosophy of the Charles University in Prague and from FAMU. His creative interest consist in considering transversal aspects of reality – science, politics, society and thought. He contributes to various papers and web media. For several years, he curated film programs in Roxy and Archa Theatre in Prague and historical retrospectives at the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival. In 2003, he co-founded and for three years led the FAMU Center for Audiovisual Studies, between 2012 and 2015 worked as head of english section of FAMU – FAMU International. Since 2006, he leads FAMU´s educational program in Burma. He works also as a development consultant for Czech Television and as a tutor in various international workshops.
