Mirjam Landolt works as an independent filmmaker and artist with still and moving images, sounds and words. Her themes revolve around nature, communities, habits, rituals and the (con)fusion of the real and the imaginary, which images know to create. She grew up in central Switzerland and graduated 2006 with a degree in photography from the CEPV in Vevey. After that, she set out to discover other cultures, people, languages and horizons. She came back with the desire to immerse herself in the language of film. In 2012, she finished her studies at the HEAD in Geneva with a Bachelor’s degree in Cinema.
