Summer's a good time to peer up at the stars and let your imagination run wild for the limitless ideas of all that's possible. Space, like the human imagination, has no practical limit.

August 2020 is undoubtedly a huge month for space fans. SpaceX's Dragon capsule splashed down in the Gulf of Mexico after a successful two-month flight, marking the United States's return to manned space travel after nine years of absence from the stage. The Perseid meteor shower, one of the most vivid and impressive of the year, peaks on August 11th. Comet Neowise continues to arc across the night-sky in a particularly awe-inspiring display of cosmic beauty.

To mark the occasion, we present The Cosmos, a cinematic accompaniment and compliment to the splendor of the night skies this summer. These films meditate on all that makes the cosmos a source of continuing fascination and mystery, often taking it as a starting point for deeper and more complex explorations.

Gazing in awe at the wonders of the universe isn't just restricted to the outdoors. Step inside and expand the thoughts the brilliance of the night-sky stirs within you with this special spotlight.
