Point of origin of the film are documentary and semidocumentary film footages of people reading in the trams of Prague. Their reading seems to relieve them from their real environment transforming it and transporting them into another world that runs parallel to the habitual one. Thus Prague could also lie at the sea and this morning could be as golden as the morning in Cannery Row by John Steinbeck. And the happiness could be so big that it releases even the caryatids on the passing facades from their ancient, heavy burden.
