Aki was taking a leave of absence from publishing company and decided to go back to her family home far from Tokyo for a few days. Aki also planned to visit Nodoka, her childhood friend, who grew up together from elementary school to university. Nodoka was married with Naoto, her senior in university, and lived in a new house near their family home with their little daughter. Their house was kept at comfortable and moderate temperature and humidity and it was as if they were covered with transparent film. Aki thought they secluded themselves from society. Honoka, their little daughter, was shy at first, but she took to Aki as they played together.
On the other hand, Nodoka looked so tired. A few days later, Aki was at her home in Tokyo. She sat at her desk and was writing a letter. She was absorbed in writing it and after she finished it, she began to read it aloud. “I killed your daughter.” Now, Aki is in the interrogation room. She begins to talk about a relationship with Nodoka, strong attachment to her and hatred to Naoto like someone else’s problem.
