Maureen Fazendeiro
(Portugal)

Maureen Fazendeiro (1989, Créteil - France) is a French filmmaker and scriptwriter based in Lisbon. She studied literature, art and cinema at Denis Diderot University in Paris. Her short films Motu Maeva (2014) and Black Sun (2019) were shown at international film festivals, film library and museums. In the past years she has been dividing her time between individual projects and collaborations with Miguel Gomes as casting director and scriptwriter Together they co-directed The Tsugua Diaries (2021). It was released in Portugal, France, USA, Italy, Spain and Brazil.
