Pedro Cardeira
(Portugal)

Pedro Cardeira was born in Lisbon. He graduated from the Cinema School of the Portuguese National Conservatory and began working as camera assistant. He collaborated in films of directors such as Manoel de Oliveira, João César Monteiro, Pedro Costa, Carlos Saura, Paulo Rocha, Alberto Seixas Santos, among many others.

His work as director of photography has begun in 1999 with the feature film “Em volta” directed by Ivo M. Ferreira. In his filmography he stands out “Marginais” and “Verão Invencível” by Hugo Diogo, “Lesser-Weaver” by Edgar Medina, “The anthropomorphic” by Vitor Alves and Miguel Aguiar and “April Showers” directed by Ivo M. Ferreira.

He is established in Macau since 2011 where he cofounded “Inner Harbour Films”. “Mio Pang Fei” is his first documentary.
