Veronika Lišková
(Czech Republic)

Veronika graduated from cultural studies at Charles University and screenwriting and dramaturgy at the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague.

She has been working as a film director, screenwriter and documentary script editor. Veronika's feature-length debut Daniel’s World had its international premiere in the Panorama section of the Berlinale – Berlin IFF in 2015 and since then has screened and awarded at numerous film festivals worldwide. In 2016 she received Pavel Koutecky Award for her short documentary Tap Water. Currently, she is in production with her second feature documentary film The Visitors and prepares her fiction debut.

Parallel to that, Veronika has been working as a curator and programme manager. Between 2012-2017 she was head of the Ex Oriente Film workshop and East European Forum pitching at the Institute of Documentary Film. Between 2019-2021 she worked as a curator and acquisition manager at DAFilms. Currently, she cooperates with various documentary film training programmes and markets as a consultant and selector and also serves as an expert for the Czech Film Fund.
