Kolfinna Baldvinsdottir

Kolfinna Baldvinsdottir's background is TV and printed press (1994-2000) before she succumbed into documentary and film making. Educated as an historian (MA 1994), her first documentary was about Franco-Icelandic relations in 19th century (Ils sont oú?, 2000). She has worked as director / screenwriter on the independence struggle of the Baltic states 1989 - 1991 (Those who dare, 2011), on immigration issues in Europe (House of Hope, 2010), on Icelandic crisis (Kreppa babies, 2009). She has also worked with Director Fridrik Thor Fridriksson as screewriter / line producer on documentary Mother courage (2009) and feature film Mamma Gogo (2010). Kolfinna has lived and worked in various countries, including the Brussels-bubble from 2001-2004 while working for the EU Commission (DG Enterprise) as an Information Officer. She returned to Brussels beginning 2012, as a Deputy Director of Public Affairs for EurActiv.com. In the meantime she lived in Kosovo, and worked on different projects in Italy, Brussels and the Baltic States.
