Camila José Donoso
(Chile)

Camila José Donoso's cinema is a cinema of transformation. The Chilean director, born in 1988, built a corpus of aesthetic experimentation and potent invention that addresses urgent issues of our present day. Her films achieve transformation through reinvention, which often occurs in the bodies of the people filmed. Camila's films have been screened at important festivals such as Rotterdam, Berlinale, Locarno, Cinema du reel, among others. Together with Carolina Moscoso, she explores the theory, exhibition and education in film at the Escuela de Cinema Experimental Transfrontera in Arica, Tacna and Tijuana.
