María Paz Gonzáles
(Chile)

María Paz González was born in Temuco in 1981. She studied journalism at the University Chile and specialized in documentary writing (Catholic University of Chile) and filmmaking (EICTV Cuba). Since 2004 she has worked in different audiovisual production areas. In 2005 she directed "First of all," documentary about children's orchestras, that received the Special Jury Prize in FIDOCS 2005 and was exhibited by TVN. "Daughter" is her first feature documentary and received funding from CORFO (development) and Development Fund Audiovisual. Recently presented at FIDOCS, the film received the award for National Best Documentary. María Paz González also works as teacher at the School of Cinema of the Arcis University.
