For twenty years Aleksey, a truck driver, has been driving the length and breadth of Russia. For twenty years his wife has been patiently waiting for him in a small house near the forest and following the news about each next road accident with concern. She is accompanied by a faithful old dog that has just been diagnosed with a fatal disease. The story about long weeks of separation, about longing and loneliness merges with the story of today’s changing Russia, as seen by Aleksiej from his truck window.
