Miroslav Bambušek
(Czech Republic)

Playwright, stage and film director. Graduated in philosophy and translatology (French, Old Greek) from Charles University, Prague. In 1996, with his brother co-founded D. I. Lebedung, a theatre company based in Louny dedicated to contemporary theatre. Cooperation with the Činoherní studio, Ústí nad Labem. From 2001, creative director, Multiprostor Louny. In 2004, dramaturg with Západočeské divadlo, Cheb. Received a number of awards for his plays Písek (2002) and Porta Apostolorum (2004), as well as for the project Perzekuce.cz (2006). Author of the script for the The Bystander Effect (dir. Radim Špaček, 2008). In 2009 he directed the film Jan Hus - A Mass for Three Dead Men.
