Otakar Krivánek
(Slovakia)

Otakar Krivánek (September 1931 – October 1997) was a Slovakian director of documentaries and feature films.

Otaker studied at FAMU in Prague after graduating from his secondary school in Presov. He also studied Architecture in Bratislava.

After graduation Otaker began directing theatre productions at the Academy of Performing Arts in 1955 before moving on to regional theatre in Nitra.

In 1960 Otaker began studying documentary filmmaking and in 1971 began working on feature films.
