Has directed more than 8 features and 4 documentaries, which have been regularly presented in the most important international film festivals – Cannes, Venice, Toronto. Sangue do Meu Sangue won the FIPRESCI award in San Sebastian, and the Grand Jury Prize in Miami Film Festival. It has been widely awarded and was presented at more than 60 film festivals worldwide. His feature Fátima had its international premiere in Rotterdam International Film Festival.
