Pier Paolo Giarolo
(Italy)

Pier Paolo Giarolo was born in Argentina in 1970. After taking a classical piano degree at the Vicenza Academy of Music, he took a master's degree at the Holden School in Turin. In November 2001 he travelled alone throughout Argentina making his first feature length documentary. After winning the 2005 Rome International Documentary Festival with “A little show” he attains the license for the activity of “Cinemambulante” (wandering-cineast). He is trying to gain his living with this job, with intentions of carefulness and elegance. Pier Paolo would never leave direction of photography to someone else. His inspired, poetic cinematography makes his documentaries unique.
