Boris Bertram
(Denmark)

Award winning film director Boris B. Bertram (born 1971) started out as a radio journalist for the Danish Radio. He has worked as the editor of Copenhagen Homeless Radio. In 1999 Boris was part of the creative team behind Zentropa Real - Lars Von Trier´s documentary departement, where he has directed several films and tv-series for Danish national broadcasting. He holds a masterdegree in communication/social psychology and graduated from The National Danish Film School as director in 2005. Bertram's graduation film My Beirut (2005) was selected for CPH:DOX and shown on Discovery Channel. Co-directed (with Rasmus Dinesen) Diplomacy (2007), exploring high-level UN diplomacy behind-the-scenes. Tank City (2009), about a Russian dance company in Chelyabinsk, one of the most radioactively polluted places on earth, enjoyed its international premiere at HotDocs. Chips & Liver Girls (2010) was codirected with Caroline Kamya under the CPH:DOX cross-cultural workshop for young directors DOX:LAB.
