Luc Moullet was born in Paris in 1937. He is a French film critic and filmmaker.
Moullet’s films are known for their humour, anti-authoriatian leanings and rigorously primitive aesthetic. Although his work has been praised by influential filmmakers and critics he has never found commercial success.
Moullet began writing for the film journal Cahiers du cinéma at 18 and began making short films at 23 and has to date made over 30 feature films, shorts and documentaries.
