Evgeny Solomin
(Russia)

Evgeny Solomin was born in 1972 in Kaluga City, Russia.
He graduated from Novosibirsk State University, Department of Russian Language and Literature. He then studied the Higher Courses for Directing and Script Writing (Moscow), Department of Documentary Directing. He was the sound director for the documentary film Flight to the Mars («Kino-Siberia» film production company). His film debut called 2 ½ Weeks in Paradise was produced in West-Siberian Film Studio. The film was participating in different festivals, and it was awarded several prizes on the national and international film contests.
He is also producer of the documentary The Fisherman and the Dancing girl (directed by Valerin Solomin) which was nominated for the European Film Awards for the best documentary of 2006.
