Robert Kirchhoff
(Slovakia)

Robert Kirchhoff (born in 1968) graduated from the Department of Documentary Film at the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava (VŠMU). In his filmmaking, he focuses primarily on socially-critical themes. He cooperates primarily with Slovak and Czech TV, the third sector and independent producers. Besides film directing, he also deals with film programming and production. He is founder and director of the civil association (a ltd. company since 2007) "atelier.doc" dealing with the production of independent documentary films and publishing books and CDs. Since 2003, he has worked at the VŠMU in Bratislava as head of the seminar of creative documentary at the Department of Documentary Film. He lives in Bratislava.
