Diego Acosta
(Chile)

Diego Acosta Hernández is the Audiovisual Director at the Catholic University of Chile and holds a Master's degree in Documentary Film from the University of Chile. He has just completed a Master's degree in Film and Audiovisual Creation at the Elías Querejeta Zine Eskola. He has made several short films and his first feature film, Al Amparo del Cielo (2021), won Best Chilean Film at the Valdivia International Film Festival, Best Film at the Play-Doc Festival in Spain, and Best First Feature at the Atlantidoc Festival in Uruguay, among others. His films have been screened at festivals such as CPH:DOX, Viennale, Open City, Clermont-Ferrand, and more. He is also a member of the CEIS8 Collective, dedicated to experimentation and research in film formats, where they produce experimental and expanded cinema, hold workshops, and organize film screenings.
