Valentina Shasivari

Valentina Shasivari was born in Locarno in 1992. After a Master's degree in Art History and Social Anthropology at the University of Bern, she earned a Master's degree in Film Directing at ECAL/HEAD in 2022. At the center of her films are often the relationship between places and the people who inhabit them and how they transform each other, between belonging and alienation. She lives and works between German-speaking Switzerland and Ticino. Her latest short film, Mountain Flesh, has been presented in various international festivals, such as IDFA, Regard Saguenay and Solothurn.
