Jean-François Laguionie

Jean-François Laguionie (1939) is a French animator, film director and producer of animation. Languionie started his career with an interest in theatre, but an encounter with Paul Grimault gave him the opportunity to learn animated film techniques. In 2011, Laguionie completed The Painting, his fourth feature-length film using both animation and live action, for which he received an Award for Best Feature Film at the 8th Festival of European Animated Feature Films and TV Specials.
