Lucía Salas
(Argentina)

Lucía Salas is an Argentinian film critic, editor, programmer and filmmaker currently based in Spain whose work navigates cinema, past and present. She studied Image and Sound Design at the University of Buenos Aires, where she met Sol Bolloqui and Fermín Eloy Acosta and formed the LaSiberia filmmaking collective. She holds and MA in Aesthetics and Politics from CalArts and is a PhD Candidate at the Universitat Pompeu Fabra. She has taught at the University of Buenos Aires, Universidad Nacional de las Artes, and Elías Querejeta Zine Eskola. She is the co-editor of the film magazine La vida útil, a columnist in Con los ojos abiertos and, together with film critic and programmer Christopher Small, co-host of the podcast We Can’t Go Home Again. As a programmer, she has worked in CineMigrante, Transcinema, DocumentaMadrid and Woche der Kritik.
