Marina Gioti is a filmmaker/ visual arIst born and based in Athens, Greece. She studied chemical engineering, environmental management, filmmaking, and media and communicaIon in Greece, the UK, and Belgium. Her films and installaIons have been presented worldwide at fesIvals, including Berlinale, Toronto, Viennale, CPH:DOX, Transmediale, Donau FesIval and museum shows and biennials including Thessaloniki Biennial, Wroclaw Media Art Biennial and Anren Biennial in Chengdu, China. In 2017 she was a parIcipaIng artist at Documenta 14 in Athens and Kassel and a fellow at Akademie Schloss Solitude in Stutgart, Germany. Through 2019 she worked on the audiovisual project Atlas- A Sound Cartography of Europe, a joint commission by IRCAM-Centre Pompidou, ZKM-Center for Art and Media Karlsruhe and Onassis Stegi .
