Born in 1975, Anders Matthesen is a Danish comedian, actor, writer and director. He has created and has featured in a number of animations and features. Among these are the animation comedy TERKEL IN TROUBLE (2004) in which Matthesen did all the voice work. His feature film debut came with the comedy WHAT GOES AROUND (2009) which he both directed, wrote and played the leading role in. His animation CHECKERED NINJA (2019), which is based on a children's book written by himself, was selected for Annecy International Animated Film Festival.

Anders Matthesen has been named Comedian of the Year in Denmark several times, and in 2017 the documentary DEN ANDEN SIDE by Pernille Rose Grønkjær was made about him.
