Mariam Khatchvani

Born in 1986, in Svaneti, Georgia. Mariam Khatchvani studied Film and TV Media Directing from 2004 to 2008 at the Shota Rustaveli Theatre and Film Georgian State University. She directed short documentaries: Verdzoba (2006), Beyond the Window (2007), and Lichanishi and Kvirikoba (2009) and Dinola (2013), her first fiction short. It has been invited to more than 50 film festivals- 36th Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival, 28th FIFF Festival International de Films de Fribourg, 37th Norwegian Short Film Festival in Grimstad and others and in 2014 it was nominated at Europian Film Academy. DEDE is her first feature film which is inved to 52nd Karlovy Vary International FIlm Festival.
