Sara Piñeros is a Colombian Filmmaker graduated from the Film and Television Bachelor at the National University of Colombia. She is currently a candidate for a master's degree in Time Based Media at the University of Art in Linz, Austria. Her work focuses on digital video and analog photography and experiments with the audiovisual language of film essays, video letters and video diaries, investigating the different conceptions of the concept of "non-fiction". She is interested in reflecting on the processes in which memory is constructed from the personal archive, emphasising its creative power and questioning its veracity. That is why her work adopts documentary tools that are used as a means to explore the limits of the fictional and the "real".
