Monika Kotecka
(Poland)

She is a cinematographer and photographer by education and newcomer director by practice. Before going into film she studied Social Sciences at the University of Wroclaw and Photography at the European Academy of Photography. Next step was the National Film School in Lodz at the Cinematography Department which she graduated from with honors. She realized numerous short films that traveled internationally (Berlinale/ Cannes/New Horizons/Two Riversides). Monika is a Berlinale Talent Campus alumni, she participated in various photography and film programmes, such as Cinetrain, Triangle in Cooperation (Israel), City Space (Germany), Poland-Russia New Gaze Project. She conducted film workshops for kids in Poland and abroad. In 2011 she was nominated to „Warto“ Award in the category of film.
