Gallo had a multidisciplinary education in Argentina, Spain and Cuba. He was involved in numerous workshops and fellowships, among them the Master´s Degree in Alternative Cinema, from the Escuela Internacional de Cine y Televisión, San Antonio de los Baños, Cuba (2019); Fotógrafos en Crisis, Universidad Torcuato Di Tella, taught by Alberto Goldenstein, Buenos Aires (2015); Neo-Muralism, Universidad Torcuato Di Tella, taught by Mariano Llinas (2014); Film Lab, Universidad Torcuato Di Tella, directed by Andrés Di Tella and Martín Rejtman (2013); Bachelor's Degree in Camera Lighting, Instituto Septima Ars, Madrid (2002); and the Experimental Cinema Cinema Workshop by Claudio Caldi, C.C. Rojas, Buenos Aires (1999).
In the year 2000 he moved to Madrid, where he created and directed several audiovisual projects that he implemented in Argentina, Brasil, Uruguay and Spain. In 2012, he returned to his native Buenos Aires, where he still resides and works.
Gallo´s work is marked by a constant exploration of boundaries and frontiers between different audiovisual genres and following the tradition of Conceptual Art, where the idea prevails over form. In that perpetual oscillation between the traditional documentary, scripted fiction, experimental cinema and video art, he pursues impure forms and playfulness, battling any form of solemnity. In his decade long quest, Gallo´s work has one main goal: to prioritize the process over the result, both on a formal narrative sense, as well as regarding the conditions of production of his works.
