The Sutnar Faculty is located in the heart of Europe, in a city made famous by the Škoda brand and the world’s best beer, Pilsner Urquell, Pilsen, the European Capital of Culture of 2015. The Sutnar Faculty is an art school for the 21st century. Its students get bachelor’s and master’s degrees in a wide range of twenty programmes, especially focusing on design and applied arts. It is located in an original building with state-of-the-art facilities and a number of unique studios and bases its activities and philosophy on the inspiring legacy of Ladislav Sutnar, a famous native of Pilsen and world-renowned designer.

The school boasts a team of prominent artists as teachers, under whose leadership its students achieve success in international competitions, undertake projects in collaboration with businesses, and take part in many exhibition projects. The Sutnar Faculty runs the prestigious Ladislav Sutnar Gallery, where in the past visitors could see works by such artists as Robert Rauschenberg, Frank Malina, Ladislav Sutnar, and other notable visual artists and designers. The school has overseen the organisation of Art Camp, an international summer art school that is one of the biggest in Europe, for 15 years.
