Kristīne Briede
(Latvia)

Kristīne Briede is a Latvian documentary filmmaker,creator and producer of cultural and social projects. In 2006, the Latvian Ministry of Culture awarded her the "Three Brothers" award for the K@2 in Karosta project - re-profiling the former Soviet military base in Liepaja and establishing a New Media Art Program at Liepaja University; she has also received several awards for art, film and social integration projects in Latvia. Kristīne Briede has produced and directed more than ten documentaries and short films.
