Joaquín Maito
(Argentina)

Joaquín Maito is member of Antes Muerto Cine collective. He has a degree in Audiovisual Arts from UNA (Universidad Nacional del Arte). He's director, producer, photographer and art director. In 2012, together with Tatiana Mazú, he premiered the documentary The state of things at the Mar del Plata International Film Festival. In 2018, he premieres Owner's Portrait at the Ji.hlava IDFF, where he wins the award for Best Debut Feature. In 2019, he makes the short film (Emoji) (Emoji) with which he participates in the Young Art Biennal of Buenos Aires. He's director of photography of Octopus Ball by Nacho Losada, "Little Red Riding Hood" by Tatiana Mazú * and "What I'm doing in this visual world?* by Manuel Embalse. He's art director of Eldorado and Hidden City by Francisco Bouzas. He's producer of "The new ruins" by Manuel Embalse. He's currently working on his next film Nostalgia, the road.
