Tereza Nvotová (1988, Trnava, Czechoslovakia) graduated in direction from film academy FAMU in Prague. Her sophomore feature, Nightsiren (Svetlonoc, 2022), premiered in 75th Locarno Film Festival – Cineasti del presente, where it won the Pardo D’Oro (Golden Leopard) for the Best Film. Her feature debut Filthy (Špina, 2017) has been screened in major festivals around the worlld. During its distribution FILTHY took home more than 20 awards, including the Czech Film Critics Award for the Best Film of the year.Tereza collaborated with various broadcasting companies, most notably HBO who has co-produced her feature debut and two documentary films. She lives between Prague and New York.
