Leszek Gnoiński

Music journalist, author and film creator. In 2010, the director has gained great renown thanks to his excellent film Beats of Freedom. With his innovative approach, the author depicted the influence of rock music and its role in young Poles attitude’s change, especially youth living in hard times in the '80s. Leszek Gnoiński is not only a director but also a historian of music. He co-created the six part film series History of Polish Rock, and wrote popular books about Polish cult rock bands. Gnoiński’s publications appeared on the pages of the influential magazines like "Newsweek", "Wprost", "Magazine Muzyczny MUZA," "Tylko Rock", "Machina". The director is also the editor of more than a hundred recordings and compilations.
