Throughout the XX century, Portugal was a country of emigration. The economy was so weak that half of the Portuguese working population was working abroad – looking for better wages and sending money back home. But for a certain period things seem to have changed.
Almost one million of immigrants came to work in Lisbon at the end of the XX century. Most of them arrived from Eastern European Countries with a high level of Education. Will they change Lisbon and Portugal? Will they be narcotized by the melancholy of the country?
