Film mediates certain kind of mental space of timelessness. At the edges somewhere unfolds maternal body. Images and sounds of the first months after author gave birth to her children constitutes film's distinstive language. Thus film confrontates habitual ways of imaging and understanding maternity with personal experience. From this point it is possible to approach reality of new life and motherhood. Space betweem mother's love and lactation psychosis is pervaded by intimacy and fragility on its own. Microevent in each scene contrast with toughness of static time framed into white winter landscape. Thus film spokes about somethis profoundly basic.
DIRECTOR´S NOTE ABOUT THE FILM
Personal is political. This film is for me in a way a political manifest. It reveals necessity of re/formulation of one’s experience with „new born life“. This experience is not just mother-based one. Life in it’s manifestations is fragile and tought, thus I thought about creating film to offer a certain kind of mental space where spectator can be on his own, facing himself within life.
