Director Hercli Bundi tells the story of three architects from Switzerland, who were invited to construct a pavilion in Jinhua near Shanghai. Endorsed by renowned people like Ai Weiwei or Herzog & de Meuron, they shall help to make this city famous. The project is called Jinhua Architecture Park.
"The House in the Park" shows the culture clash from first hand: Residents, migrant workers, officials and the creators of the buildings are observed over the lapse of four years as they try to accomplish their goal. It is a story about dreams and misunderstandings – and a deep and intimate look into China's daily life from the authors point of view.
