Companion captures a single, luminous fragment of life on Iran’s Hormuz Island: the quiet bond between fisherman Ali Zahedi and his pigeon, Ghanbar. Raised by Ali three years ago, Ghanbar has become more than a bird—he is a steadfast partner in a daily ritual.
