In April 1978, the members of the Independent Revolutionary Group break into an important Zurich bank. Their aim is to prove the collusion between the Helvetica financial system and Latin-American dictators. They film the entire action. They get a confession from the bank director, but not from the Paraguayan money smuggler who refuses to collaborate. Should they get rid of the dictatorships’ secret service lieutenant-colonel? Take him hostage? And what should they do of the huge amount of money stolen from the bank? The same eternal, nagging question comes up: do the ends justify the means? Thirty years later, the recorded tapes recounting the entire operation resurface… and ask a new question: what was the end again?
