What has happened between the moment when a friend shared a melody with the filmmakers 15 years ago and the moment when it is taken up again today? A chronicle of that time, which manifests the necropolitical drift of the EU migration policies and the invisible border violence in the Mediterranean area. Drawing on new and unedited material from previous projects, the film recomposes a story made out of fragments, of lacunae and hauntings – while carefully revealing that generosity and friendship have been the essential conditions of its own making.
