This biographical film examines the multitalented personality of Karel Čapek and the context behind the creation of his works such as Krakatit, The White Disease, R-U-R, War with the Newts, or the “pocket stories.” We learn about his initiation into artistic circles, foreign trips, and strong relationship with his brother Josef. In response to the contemporary world situation, the film celebrates the development of the heroes in Capek’s books.
