In the remote mountain villages of Gora, in the harsh Shar Mountains, lives a Slavic speaking Muslim minority: the Gorani people. Gora investigates this rich culture through the everyday rituals of Gorani males, as the women are forbidden to be filmed. The films depicts the males of the village as they work, talk, dance, play music, preach, pray and sing, all set against the surrounding mountains, adding a pertinent and persistent reminder how transient human existence can be.
