Young Anežka tries to please everyone, while forgetting about number one – Anežka herself. So it isn’t long before she finds herself facing a difficult task: to be aware of who she is, what she wants, and how to achieve it. The screenplay for scripter Beata Parkanová’s confident debut might have been written by life itself. Well grasped dialogue and a sense of situations that are ostensibly banal yet, each day, are upsetting and also uplifting. Humour and paradoxes, where words of love cause pain and comments about huge thighs make us feel good.
