BROKEN SPACE the television broadcast as the ruination of the image - each previous instant determines the transience of whoever is watching. The symbol of a consumer society is also the embellishment of war, images of violence unleashed in the living room. Reischl prepares them, dissects them into their only identity. Without respect for the victims, these images are often an expression of vainglory, as they retain nothing of what has occurred a moment ago. As such they are the most radical dismissal of narrative and catharsis.
