Approximately two hundred prostitutes occupied the church of Saint-Nizier, in Lyon, in the spring of 1975. Either smiling to or afraid of the camera, they give their testimonials as “women and mothers”, to demand police, tax, and social harassment be stopped. Outside the church the debates are broadcasted in video screens for the people on the streets – mainly men.
