In Latin the phrase ‘dum spiro spero’ is a saying meaning ‘while I breathe, I hope’. Until this day it has remained the motto of those who refuse to quit until the very last breath. Intertwining daily life, books and death, the author speaks about losing strength, particularly the strength to cope with the loss.
Pero Kvesić, the acclaimed writer of a series of books, film Dum spiro spero speaks of the director’s literary skill represented in a cinematic language. This film is to a great extent single-handedly made by the director. As well as writing the script and directing, Kvesić also filmed all the material and created elements of the soundtrack playing the mouth harp.
